When does school begin and end? When are vacations and early releases?- The 2011/2012 school year begins August 31, 2011, and is scheduled to end on June 13, 2012. Scheduled vacations and early releases can be seen on the current year's calendar.
How can I find out about upcoming scholarship opportunities?- Visit our Scholarship Search page to find out about scholarship opportunities in the near future. Deadlines, requirements, and other details about available scholarships can be found there.
How can I find out about school closures and delays due to snow or other unexpected events?- Visit our district's snow closures page, where you can see what news organizations will carry notices when the schedule has changed. You can also sign up for email or text message alerts if you'd like.
When does the school day start and end?- Regular school days begin at 8:15 am and end at 3:10. Early release days end at 1:40. Half days (for parent conferences and some vacation starts) end at 12:05. See the 2011/2012 school calendar for particular dates of these special schedules.
When is the high school's graduation?- June 9, 2012.
How can I contact teachers, administrators, or other staff?- Visit our staff page to find a teacher's email address. You may also find the information you need by visiting the teacher's class website which you'll also find linked there.
How can I find out about sports events?- Visit our sports page for information student participation requirements and sports seasons. For individual games and matches, search the sporting events calendar at Digital Sports .
When do different sports seasons begin?- Fall sport practices begin before classes are in session. August 18th is the first day for football practices, and August 22nd is the first day for volleyball, cross country, and girls soccer. Winter sports (basketball and wrestling) begin in November, and Spring sports (track, baseball, softball, tennis, and boys soccer) begin in March.
